Overview:
This training is designed to help employees, and business owners understand where distractions come from and how to eliminate distracting thoughts that prevent us from focusing on being productive and using time wisely. The course is divided into three parts: (a) identifying workplace distractions, (b) how to set profitable goals and priorities, and (c) strategies to eliminate procrastination and four other types of distractions form your work environment.
While I will cover this depth during the training course, one of the biggest distraction at work is self- distraction or procrastination. Are you barely meeting deadlines or work assignments on a regular basis? Do you feel anxious when you have a major project due but feel as if you don't have sufficient time to get it done? Feeling the pressures of looming deadlines can cause mental fatigue and a lack of focus.
The objectives of this training are to understand that distractions tend to overwhelm us due to:
- Fear of painful outcomes -This could stem from a bad experience in which you have not come to terms with, therefore conveniently using this particular excuse is a good way to inject procrastination into the equation
- Fear of missing out - Do you feel like you need to do everything and be everywhere? If so, you could turn into a person who eventually resorts to procrastination as a defense mechanism
