It leads to the obvious question of whether or not the risk profession has a bias towards measurement, quanitification and risk adversion - to the neglect of old fashioned gut feel and risk taking ?

The article is great............but I believe an inclination towards risk taking is important,but it should be measured and quantified, justified and results certained before taking any steps...but I am still trying to learn from falls.
