“Companies are failing in their efforts to become data-driven,” write Randy Bean & Thomas H. Davenport in their HBR article of 5th Feb 2019. The article highlights the difficulties organisations face in their data-driven journey.
Alarmingly, the percentage of survey respondents claiming to be data-driven has dropped over the last three years as organisations have realised the failure of previous initiatives.
While 92% of respondents see technology as capable and available, 93% identified people and process as the biggest obstacle in this journey. BOARD International has asked me to be their guest presenter for a webinar about how reframing data to drive decision making can lead to success. Reframing data to drive decision making is all about making sure you’re answering the right questions not analysing data for data’s sake.
