Basics of Credit Analytics

Should a Credit Analyst think of an analysis to assess borrower’s credibility to repay the loan without liquidation of collaterals or should he go for collateral comfort that should support the credit to end the loan in itself without going into troubled credit hassles?                               

In situations as above, professional handling in credit analysis as well as special attention to collateral analysis have to be given to minimize the credit/default risk before extending credit.                                                                    

It means that the basic responsibility of a Credit Analyst is to make research and analyze the risks involved in extending credit that enable a credit professional to arrive at suitable decision to accept or reject an application within the set norms.  

Overall, there is an imperative need that a Credit Analyst aspirant has to have knowledge of Basics of Credit Analytics. Developing skills like a thinker or like a detail oriented person (with an analytical bent of mind) who should like to love exploring or researching for critical analyzation should be some of the priorities for this aspiring professional who should be curious to know more & more before accepting a new credit application.
